Freek Kroesbergen (1972) is communications and public relations manager of the Association of Dutch Designers (BNO), and chief editor of Dd Magazine and Dd Yearbook, which are published by BNO.
Freek studied marketing, communications and concept development (strategy and copy writing). He started his career in 1996 in the advertising industry, working for agency network Euro RSCG (now Havas Creative) where he was information manager and brand strategy planner. In 2003, he worked in the same capacity for brand consultancy US, Brand Value Development. Earlier, in 2001, he began working in the music industry at pop venue P60 where he was responsible for public relations and marketing. Even today he is still active in tour bookings and festival programming at pop venue Duycker. In 2004, Freek made a final switch to another creative industry: design. Starting off as the public relations manager for BNO, he is now strategically responsible for all publicity and communications, including website, social media, newsmails, and the publications Dd Magazine and Dd Yearbook, of which he is editor-in-chief.
