dude, short for Dutch designers magazine, is a quarterly magazine providing an inspiring insight into the world of designers. How do they think, and work? What are their influences, their fascinations and inspirations? The magazine pictures their profession, their careers, choices, knowledge and skills. It highlights the added value of design, and that of designers. It offers perspectives on design from their clients, their clients’ customers, from critics, and even their colleagues. Dude loves all design, covering everything from communication design to interaction design, and from product design to spatial design.
dude is the successor of monthly trade magazine Vormberichten, which appeared from the mid eighties until 2013. Dude is a publication by the Association of Dutch Designers (BNO), the largest organisation of professional designers in the Netherlands. The association unites over 2,500 individual designers and 150 design agencies and corporate design departments, totalling to almost 7,000 design professionals. BNO is committed to advancing the quality of the design profession and to promoting the economic, commercial, social and cultural interests of its member designers, agencies and design students.
