Avant Garde

Avant Garde is a biannual menswear magazine. Its mission is to communicate to the modern man a new lifestyle, focusing on luxury and quality. It provides a space for young creative talents, to talk about their artistic points of view.
We designed the layout of the magazine and do the art direction since the first number. Avant Garde has 4/5 different sections: portfolio, Editorial, Interview, Special Interview and Time Travel. We gave to each section an its own identity using different colors and layout. In particular the interview is characterized by the use of monotone pictures and texts. Photographers normally provide us a great number of pictures and the big format allowed us to play with overlaps and cuts.
