CLEVER°FRANKE Website

At CLEVER°FRANKE we design and create data driven experiences. We put a lot of effort into our client projects but from the end result one rarely sees all that lies behind. Our new website was created to present our work in the best way possible, using the latest web technologies to create a seamless browser experience whilst maintaining broad device compatibility.

The new website doesn’t only tell visitors about the ’what’ but, more importantly, zooms in on the ’how’ and ’why’ we do things. This is true for individual projects as well as for us as a company. We emphasise on this with a short movie showing ‘our story’.

With our ’approach’ section we dive deep into our well-structured process by showing our project toolkit, which of course changes depending on the project phase. This illustrates the methodical way of working we prefer.

With our ’work’ section we present various cases, the challenges we faced, the solution that was created, which tools were used and what the result has been. We really aim to tell the story behind the project here.

Throughout the site we use our generative particle font library. We designed and developed this from scratch, mostly because we worked with particle layouts in several earlier projects and wanted to bring that back as a recognisable ’calling card’ troughout the site. Users can even draw their own particle shapes by click-and-dragging their mouse or vinger!

Our big challenge throughout creating our new website was of course catering to a diversity of devices with varying performance and screen size. After reviewing several scenario’s we settled on a combination of progressive enhancement with feature detection as well as mapping out and optimising for specific edge cases. A lot of work but if we challenge our clients to be their best than so must we!
