Equinor arrange several events for kids throughout the year to show their efforts in supporting the heroes of tomorrow. The main goal of the site was to promote a coding event hosted by the client and 6 science centers. The primary target audience was kids age 6-12 and their parents. The site would function as an information hub for the parent and as inspiration for the kids, both those that could and could not attend the events.
.
.
To inspire the kids we created a puzzle game featuring a quirky main character, a robot called Biip. Through this character, the kids (and their parents) would have to solve several challenges using instructional and logical reasoning. To make sure the kids would not get tired or overly frustrated we made sure to add plenty of quirky animations and sounds to keep it entertaining.
.
.
Later we expanded the site with additional features for an event targeted towards kids age 12-16. To gain their interest we took the level editor we created for internal use and opened it up to allow them to create their own levels, share and challenge their friends.
