The dental practice owned by Florian Fries has been given quite a makeover, one that aptly demonstrates the four things we associate with any dental work: the first circle in embossed style represents the way teeth are modelled as well as fillings; the white circle is the tooth itself; the silver circle stands for the little round mirror without which the dentist would not be able to work; and the punched out circle acts as a symbol for the not fully formed juvenile set of teeth, one of the areas of expertise at the practice being children’s dentistry. When taken together, all four circles represent the four dental quadrants. The pronounced technical precision of the print media reflects the outstanding quality of the practice. Some additional quotes on the subject of ‘teeth’, ones not to be taken that seriously, enhance the overall typographical image.
