Honey On The Roof
The Vienna Konzerthaus is one of the world’s most modern and yet most traditional concert halls. With its characteristic architectural components of art nouveau, secession, and historicism the Konzerthaus was inaugurated in 1913.
Like music, honey has always been a companion to humanity.
Four bee colonies were established at the rooftop of the building where they produce high-quality organic honey. The design of the honey jar labels draws from the design traditions of the early 20th century. They show a detailed composition of elements of architecture, music, and apiculture.
In combination with the plain jar, the design of the Konzerthaus honey mirrors the noble past and the artistic currency of one of Viennas most important cultural institutions.
A black gift box protects the small souvenir, which is exclusively available at the box office.
Unwrapped, the box provides information about the honey on the roof project and the concert hall.
