LA VIDA DOS VECES is an historical narrative and an intimate portrait of the pioneer of the intelligence system in place in the Spanish Protectorate in Morocco.
The book is conceived as a palimpsest: a series of overlaid readings reveals the personality of Víctor Martínez-Simancas, military man and diplomat.
The case suggests the starry sky of the lingering nights the central character experienced in the Sahara desert. The apparently typewritten texts and the particular use of punctuation signs are related to some confidential documents reproduced in the book.
