To mark the 100th anniversary of the 1913 law on the protection of historical monuments, the castle of Saint-Germain en Laye presented an exhibition of photographs depicting its renovations through the years. The command should therefore realize the importance of these approaches to conservation. By the poster we had to make sure that people could understand the aesthetic and historical interest to document the various stages of renovation. We used typography Notes, reworked to build a scaffold that delicately land on the silver front of the monument in the background. This typographic structure protects the monument and covers it with its shapes and colors, using the construction visual codes. The 4 diagonals crossing the poster incorporate the concept of look and angle of view: that of the curator, the architect, the photographer, and finally the viewer, witness of these transformations.
