LUX is a home for international cinema, debate, theater and music.
Addition to the six cinemas with the finest, most surprising and important films in the Netherlands to see, LUX offers a balanced program of flat floor theater, dance, music, controversial debates, festivals and events. LUX is the largest art-house of the Netherlands and the cultural engine of the city of Nijmegen.
In early 2011, the new arthouse VillaLUX opened. A beautiful new location of LUX, in comfort and style. VillaLUX has two cinemas. Besides an additional place for the art house film, VillaLUX is also the setting for film courses, small conferences and festivals.
SILO developed a new brand strategy, logo and visual identity for both Lux and Villa Lux.
The new logo contains the letters ‘LUX’. An imaginary movie screen is cut out from the letters and works as a framework for the picture or the area below. A positive side effect is the smiley, to discover in the letter U.
The logo is suitable for use on photo’s, and optimized for use with moving images.
