MúzeumCafé

The magazine MúzeumCafé published two-monthly by the Budapest Museum of Fine Arts was called into being in 2007 with a view to create a forum for the profession and an indispensible source of information for all those working in museums in Hungary, to present the most important museum events, workshops and achievements both at home and abroad, and to provide an opportunity for the presentation of initiatives aimed at the renewal of museum work. Another objective of the magazine is to offer interesting and easy to understand articles and photos to a larger audience of the friends of museums and exhibitions. The larger part of the three thousand copies of MúzeumCafé published in more than a hundred pages every two months is distributed free of charge to all Hungarian museums, public libraries, cultural institutions, and also to leaders and senior staff members of a good number of foreign museums as well as politicians dealing with cultural issues. The Hungarian public can find MúzeumCafé in the shops of the larger museums and in a few major bookshops.
