NASK’s winning project for the International Academy of Ceramics (AIC-IAC) aimed to re-define the new branding and communication strategy.
The AIC-IAC is one of the most ancient and esteemed ceramics institutions worldwide. The brief focused on rebrand adequately the dual English and French identity of the institution. In addition, the former visual identity needed refreshment and simplification. The client was looking for an impactful, rejuvenated and consistent branding that would be activated globally and through multiple channels.
NASK won the project with a new, dual-use logo characterised by a contemporary and rigorous Swiss design. The new design used Swiss typefaces Euclid and Circular as well as geometrical principles close to the ones used in ceramics. The logo suggests a perpetual rotating movement allowing multiple readings; AIC (French reading) or IAC (English reading).
In addition to graphic design, the project included communication aspects. Digital and print assets were created to emphasize the academy’s history, community and specific positioning in the art world. With NASK’s support, the AIC-IAC succeeded in strengthening its international communication and marketing strategy.
