Norebo is the largest fishing holding in Russia and one of the leading global companies in the fishing industry with offices in Hong Kong and London. Norebo offers a full range of services all over the world – from fishing and processing on their trawlers and factories to logistics services. The company is based in Murmansk and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and fishes in northern seas.
We saw the idea of the corporate identity in the company’s name. The word “Norebo” is melodic and consists of three syllables – No-Re-Bo. These rhythmic segments can change like sea waves. The water surface sometimes is almost calm and smooth as can be the sound. Or the waters can be stormy – and the sound can be loud and active as well. So the three lines can look calm, have the same length and the same intonation. Or we can make an accent on one of the syllables like a sudden high wave on the smooth sea surface.
Lines can change their configuration and live in a dynamic like a wave. This movement allows us to create various graphic compositions and form the layout, which we fill with photo and video content. We combine various images into collages, showing the company’s activities: fishing, logistics, ports, factories, incredible northers nature, etc. The whole visual identity is built on these collages, which lives in constant dynamic. Their pattern changes the same way as the northern lights or storm waves or snowy landscapes.
We have created a unique corporate typeface that has three weights for text and display and emphasizes the harsh brutal northern nature’s character and activities of the company. The combination of smooth or hard lines, monospaced grotesque typeface, and northern photo collages form the identity of the Norebo holding.
