The series of albums celebrating the centenary of the avant-garde in Poland

Books are part of a publishing series that is the result of an uninterrupted commitment of Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź (Museum of Art in Łódź) in reflection on the heritage of the avant-garde. Individual volumes in the series, with titles: Superorganism. The Avant-Garde and the Experience of Nature, The Museum of Rhythm, Moved Bodies. Choreographies of Modernity, Enrico Prampolini. Futurism, Stage Design and the Polish Avant-Garde Theatre, Montages. Debora Vogel and the New Legend of the City, as well as Organizers of Life. De Stijl, the Polish Avant-Garde and Design, are the result of the work of the curators team on issues that may seem marginal to the recognized area of the mainstream of the Polish avant-garde. However, the areas taken up by curators exploration arise from an attempt to look at the problems of avant-garde creators from the point of view of the most vital currents of science and humanities of the present day. This gives a chance to look for new threads in not yet well-recognized history as well as contemporary continuators of the work of avant-gardists.
