Raffinerie designed the visual appearance of Theater Basel. We developed the whole corporate identity including posters, programmes, website and stationary.
The concept is based on the form of a cube – a symbol of the space the theatre fills with its performances. The high flexibility of the cube creates a concise base for the wide product range. Other important elements are the use of bright colors and the bold typeface which is distorted in the three dimensional space.
In the first season, the radical visual concept is complemented with the imagery of Jason Evans. For every performance he developed a free associated image.
