Untire helps cancer patients that suffer from severe fatigue as a result of their condition, medical treatments and the emotional and social impact of their illness.

Are you tired of always being tired? Do you miss being able to actively participate in everyday activities? If you suffer from cancer-related fatigue (CRF) you are probably mentally and physically exhausted. Untire gives you the tools to get back to living your life.

Untire approached us to research and design a new platform that would realise their mission. This eventually resulted in an easy-to-use app, with videos, tutorials, and daily tips, that gives users access to an online support community of other CRF peers. It offers a comprehensive, step-by-step program based on scientific research to reduce fatigue.

One of the most important things we wanted to achieve with this design is that people feel calm when using the app. In order to maintain a sense of ‘stillness’, we created an interface that blends into the experience. We wanted to create a place that feels natural and alive and helps the user to give full attention to the content itself.

Through careful and persuasive design techniques, we successfully transformed academic research into a business model and a tangible, user-friendly product that helps people by improving their quality of life.
