Zdenka Rusova (b. 1939) is one of Norway’s foremost graphic artists.
The catalogue was produced in conjunction with a retrospective exhibition at Henie Onstad Kunstsenter in Oslo, Norway. This exhibition presented works by the Czech-born artist spanning the course of over 50 years.
The catalogue is divided in three main parts, with biographical and historical texts to give context and a bigger understanding for Rusovas artistic visions. The goal for the catalogue was to emphasize the tactile qualities in Rusova’s work. Coloured paper and different paper qualities are used to enhance the structure of the content. Through the use of a dust jacket on the cover, the book gets an extra layer of surface and texture, and also the opportunity to leave a hidden but simple print detail for the reader to discover.
