Anders Thulin is an award-winning designer with extensive experience in design leadership. He is the Head of Institute of Design and Visual Interaction at the Royal Danish Academy and a member of the Danish Design Council, a think tank for the Danish design field that promotes and develops new perspectives on design’s societal role.
With a background in politically governed organisations, he has led multiple design teams and developed large-scale design systems for media platforms, cultural institutions, and public services – including more than a decade as Head of Design at the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR), where he was also responsible for the design of the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen.
He acts as an external examiner at The Design School Kolding and The Danish School of Media and Journalism and advises companies on brand identity and visual communication. He has a strong interest in design as a tool for democratic access, meaningful user experiences, and sustainable futures through the integration of design and emerging technologies.
