Anders Thulin is the Head of the Institute of Visual Design at the Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen and a member of the Danish Design Council, where he engages in exploring new design perspectives and promoting Danish design. He serves as an external examiner at The Design School Kolding and The Danish School of Media and Journalism. Additionally, he advises Danish companies like Royal Unibrew and TV2 Denmark on brand identity and visual communication.
He is the former Head of Design at The Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR), a position he held for more than a decade. During this time, he led the design of multiple media channels and streaming platforms as well as the concert hall DR Koncerthuset. In 2014, he headed the design for the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen.
Thulin holds a Master’s in Architecture and Design from The Royal Danish Academy, earned in 2001. He has a strong interest in using design as a tool to enhance communication between people and in exploring how it can be integrated with new technologies to contribute to a more positive and sustainable world.
