Johanna Lewengard works as creative director, educator and researcher, based in Stockholm. Her expertise manifests via multiple forms, from craft- based knowledge and strategic advisory work, to business transformation and leadership. Her professional career is characterized by a commitment to design as a field in evolution.

Formerly the first female Professor of Graphic Design in Swedish history at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts & Design, she is one of the main forces behind the establishment of the first artistic PhD positions in visual communication in Sweden.

Since 2017, Johanna is the chairperson of Swedish Book Art, the national association advocating for excellence in book design and production.
