Adriana Andreeva is a Sofia-based writer, cultural producer and curator specialising in the field of contemporary design. Andreeva’s work consists of cultural programmes including events, exhibitions and publications. She is the co-founder of Komplekt, an interdisciplinary creative studio for cultural management in the field of design and content creation, collaborating with public and private institutions in order to bring forward the power of design for a more meaningful way of living. Komplekt’s most prominent self-initiated project is MELBA – a series of design initiatives, comprising a bilingual online archive on contemporary Bulgarian design, regular meetings showcasing recent projects by Bulgarian designers and studios, classes and an annual design festival. To amplify what is good and beautiful.
Adriana has over 15 years of experience related to design – writing, selecting and creating dedicated content to the topic. Previously, Adriana was part of the curatorial and management team of Sofia Design Week (2009-2015) and has had numerous articles on design and architecture for various publications. She has graduated journalism and creative writing from the American University in Bulgaria and has a specialisation in Cultural management.
